As can be seen here when there are enough series the field title goes to the left, but leaves a huge amount of extra space red arrows. When there are a smaller amount of series the left padding is gone, but the padding on the right still exists. I have set the maximum values of the axis to be the same as the max presented value as such the longest bar is at its max length. How to reproduce it as minimally and precisely as possible : Any horizontal bar gauge with sufficient series based on its height.

I have a solution but it depends a bit on what kind of input we are trying to feed this visualization with. We have support for mapping the null type but there are a scenario in the displayProcessor. I am guessing "null" but can't say for sure without more information about the source data that we are trying to visualize here. Ah, ok ok. I thought we had trouble mapping null data to 0.

But it is the label that we want to be able to change. Got it! Would be good to treat no data as null so it can be mapped to a custom text or value. Skip to content. Open Source is at the heart of what we do at Grafana Labs. It reduces the series into a single number by looking at the max, min, average, or sum of values in the series. Singlestat also provides thresholds to color the stat or the Panel background. It can also translate the single number into a text value, and show a sparkline summary of the series.

The singlestat panel has a normal query editor to allow you define your exact metric queries like many other Panels. In the Options tab, you can access the Singlestat-specific functionality.

The coloring options of the Singlestat Panel config allow you to dynamically change the colors based on the Singlestat value. Sparklines are a great way of seeing the historical data related to the summary stat, providing valuable context at a glance. Sparklines act differently than traditional Graph Panels and do not include x or y axis, coordinates, a legend, or ability to interact with the graph.

The text will respect all styling, thresholds and customization defined for the value. This can be useful to translate the number of the main Singlestat value into a context-specific human-readable word or message. Grafana 2. In previous versions, the panel logic did not verify that only a single series was used, and instead, displayed the first series encountered. The Gauge feature in this panel is deprecated, please use the new Gauge panel instead.

Grafana offers many different types of widgets to display data queried from Humio. Depending on the type of widget you choose, your query is expected to return a certain data format to populate it.

The data format returned by a query depends on the last function in its pipeline. For instance, given the query: groupby In this example, count returns a single data point. In the following, we give some examples that work well with the different widget types.

This is not an exhaustive list, but is meant as a starting point. The graph widget is suited for showing time-series data. Use the timechart function to return data formatted for this widget. The table widget is suited for showing tabular data. Use the table function to return data formatted for this widget. These widgets are suited for showing a single metric across different groups of data. Use the groupby function to return data formatted for this widget.

The Singlestat widget is suited for showing a single number. You can populate it with functions that return a single datapoint such as count. The Worldmap widget is very useful for showing locational data, but it is not included in the standard Grafana installation. You can install it as a plugin from its plugin page. To populate your widget use the worlmap function. Given this query, the widget must be configured in the following manner to be shown correctly.

This way you have all your queries collected in one place. A live Humio query can be used to continuously update a Grafana dashboard over time.

What’s new in Grafana v6.2

To activate live queries on your dashboard, make sure that its time range is set relative to the present point in time and that automatic refresh of the dashboard has been activated. As an example, set the time range to be last 10 minutes and the refresh rate to be 1m. Here are a few tips to help configure the widget. The default behavior of the widget is to only show the names of gauges when there is more than one gauge on the chart. You may however find that you want to have your gauges named, even there is only a single one.
